Sidney and Matilda,

Rivelin Works, 46 Sidney St, Sheffield

Alongside the bevy of events across the weekend, we're proud to also be taking over Sidney & Matilda Gallery for a AlgoMech exhibition that'll run throughout the weekend, including algorithmic wall art through to wearable e-textiles.

The festival opening event will take place within the exhibition, and will include a "live coded" dance performance, a screening, and short talks from some of the exhibited artists.

Screening: The Machinery

A screening of The Machinery, a short film/video installation juxtaposing clog dancing with the repetitious script of a contemporary call-centre and the overwhelming sounds of industrial cotton machines. A collaborative art work by Caroline Radcliffe (clog dancer), Sarah Angliss (composer & artist) and Jon Harrison (film maker).
